the traction light coming on I can understand when the tyres loose grip. the orange light makes sense..

But what makes the beeping noise come on, that I guess is the stability control?

What is the sensor detecting, too much sideways action?

HELP?? :mat:

the VSC works on a little vibrating prong a bit like a tuning fork - if it's not working correctly on the ls you get a warning light. frequently after the Battery has been disconected (or just low on voltage) for any reason it can take a while to settle down again - don't know if this is the problem or not.

Thanks JM,

I think it is working ok. I just wondered if it was a sideways motion detector. It only seems to chime in when I broadside the car under "heavy" acceleration through a bend. Its quite reassuring really. kinda tells you how hard you are pushing the old girl! :P

Ps. JM, you had any more stirring thoughts about that LS430? the more I look at them the more I see you in one... I know the numbers arent brilliant but it would look rather splendid outside your lovely home. Not to mention how it would feel on the open road on a daily basis...
