Replacement Windscreen For Mk1?

Just got a nasty crack of about 3" situated at top corner of passenger side of windscreen due to stone chip.

Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for a second hand replacement? Its not a chip but rather a crack so I doubt I can repair it.

Do you have windscreen cover on your insurance?

A screen itself is around 400 euros, so for a proper windscreen price would be above that. They are bonded in so not an easy job to remove or refit as a DIY job.

Windscreen would lose me my ncb on insurance so would prefer to go with a used one ideally. Bloody p in the a. Same week two rear tyres went.

That's strange, normally a claim for a windscreen does not result in loss of NCB.All you have to pay is the windscreen excess of between £50-80.I would recontact your insurers to clarify.

I agree it is unusual for a windscreen to effect your ncb, however it is still treated as a claim so could effect your renewal premium...
