What About A 'thank-You' Button For Fellow Posters?

What about a 'thank you' button for members?

Personally when I read certain posts I become frustrated (don't say it .......),

when I find that I cannot thank the poster for his/her useful contribution.

Although this system is frequently used by 'other forums' to enhance member loyalty and retention,

it is also useful for fellow members to support their fellow posters in helping to ensure their subsequent posts.

For example, a 'thank you' button can assist in many things including:-

posters obtaining useful feedback;

website retaining posters (some of whom may wish to climb the 'reputation' scale);

higher traffic to site and therefore higher advertising revenue!

This is just a quick thought on a late Thursday evening, but I'm sure you know where I'm coming from!

So what do you think?

I think it's a great idea Mark :D

Moderators/staff can give 'contributor stars' to v.helpful members but a 'reputation/thankyou' application would be good so that not only does the member feel appreciated but also allows others to see that the member is a 'good-un' :D
