Tyre Pressure Monitoring

it does yes. You would need to purchase a set of new valves and get the system programmed to work with the new valves.

I don't know if the system can store 8+ sensors, hopefully it can otherwise you would have to have the system reprogrammed twice a year.

is the tyre pressure monitor standard on UK CT's?

I have a SE-L Premier but have never noticed anything anywhere on the car about tyre pressures?

I discovered that the pressure in one of my tyres was down to zero due to a nail. I was pretty angry because I expected the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to be working. And then to discover that in UK at least, they are not installed/activated (after trawling through the manual then confirming with Lexus servicing). How can you have run flat tyres without TPMS??

Now I'm looking for a way to buy a receiver for the TPMS system, because it looks like the sensor valves are fitted. Will have a chat with servicing ASAP to see what can be done.

As an aside I was surprised that Lexus servicing would consider repairing the puncture, as most tyre specialists would go straight for a replacement tyre.

  • 1 month later...

My dealer has confirmed that our CT does not have special valves and sensors. I have since bought a set of alloys and winter tyres which will be fitted later this month once the temperature drops enough. Will report back their effectiveness once they are in use.
