Is250 Power Output

Hi all.

Just a quickie. My mate has just got a brand new IS250 Auto in that pearlescent white colour with smoked silver alloys. Looks stunning!

Anyway, when we were chatting at work about it and browsing the Lexus website we noticed that they claim that the IS250 power output is only 153bhp. But other sites seem to quote 204bhp. I sent Lexus a quick message on twitter and they said the website is correct.

Huh? My IS200 pushes 153bhp as standard. Did it used to be over 200 and they've had to bring it down to that for emissions or economy reasons? Seems a little low thats all for a modern petrol of that capacity.

I imagine that the 153 refers to kw not bhp power.

Roughly converted, 153 kw = 204bhp
