Reset Ecu Didn't Work! Please Help

Hello, I bought IS200 with navigation. But the sat nav do not work and the fm radio not work! the am works fine. befor i bought the car has not been driven for a year or more! the Battery was flat. I drove the car 1000 miles already and it goes fine, just this two things! I want to reset the ECU to solve this to things! I pulled out the fuses but i thing that the ECU did not reset! Then i pulled out the negative from the Battery this should reset it and should lose the memory of the radio stations, but once again when connect it and start the car the memory of the radio was there. So that mean to me that the reset was not success! Any help please! Thank you!

If your memory on the stereo is still there then no the ECU didn't reset.

How long did you disconnect the Battery and fuses for? I found 3 hours to not be long enough when I did it so I unplugged it all night and that worked :)

About two hours! But pulling the fuses did not work as well! just wander what to do!? the sat nav dislpays "Please open the door" and "Please check the cd rom" and the radio: the AM works ,but the FM don't?

I took the keys out when i do the reset! Is that make any difference?

Try unplugging your Battery overnight tonight. That way your sure to have it re set by the morning. If that doesn't fix your problems I suggest you then go to see an auto electrician.

Hi with regards the sat nav, have you actually opened the disc player/module in the boot to see if you have actually got a disc in it?there is a possibility there isnt one or its the wrong one and thats why its asking you to open the door on the module and check disc,hope this helps?

I dissconnect the Battery and turn the keys to drain any power left in the car. Leave the car over night and the ECU will reset.

My Battery was flat one evening and the next morning everything was reset after removing the Battery to charge it.

May be the issues are multiple. You could see if all connectors at the rear of radio are connected, else it could be a fault in radio FM section: do you hear a noise and no stations or nothing at all?
