Hello and welcome to the LOC.

Yes the Mazda RX8 wheels will fit, they are 5 stud 114.3PCD, 35-45 Offset and Bore is 67.1 ( Lexus is 60.1 so will need some spigot rings fitting)

More details on link below.

As far as I know there are no piggyback tuning systems available for the IS220d

I have managed to find 2 different piggy back units for the 220d but not many reviews etc on how well they work and engine longevity.

Ventura: http://prolex-uk.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=595_168_215&products_id=1336

Chip Express: http://www.chipexpress.com/products/1095/

I am more inclined to go with the Ventura box due to the limited reviews I have read on dutch sites and the fact Prolex appear to be a Jap tuning/modification specialist. Also, I only stumbled across the company and device when I was looking for some Tom's tuning parts for the car and based on the range/makes of the parts available on their site, I made a blanket judgment and decided they were better :-)

If you happen to buy one of these or find a decent review on either box, please post as I would be intrigued to find out more.

Thanks

Tom

Bought a tdi tunning chip of chap on the forum .installed pretty easy and feels like its improved car alot.not much turbo lag kicks in about 1500 1600rpm mark.

Mpg increased alot probaly not acurate.saying im getting 48 avg. Creaps to 60 and over sometimes. Before it would say 16mpg or 32.1 max so id say its helped.

Going to clean egr valve in better weather since its at top of engine and looks very very simple unless im wrong.

I've just bought and installed a racechip pro2 box on my 220d and the difference is night and day. turbo lag is still there but less apparent and the improvement is something to behold. the cars is much quicker off the mark and is much faster through the gears. Just tried it out on a two mile run, just in case things didn't go to plan....but it was very, very good. sound a wee bitty smoother on tick over, but still sits at 800. may be my imagination, i don't know. On take of it does fly, even though there is still lag, its very much reduced and the acceleration is greatly improved. cant talk about economy for a couple of weeks yet. so, looks like improved torque and power. that's two of the boxes ticked. didn't need to adjust it either as it was supposed to be set up for improved torque, power and economy straight out of the box.

very, very pleased with first impressions of this box. It wasn't cheap at 186 gbp, but if it stays the way it is, it will be more than worth the cost.

delighted.

unfortunately, no access to a r/r, so its just my opinion mind.

Hi Frank, how are you getting on with the racechip pro2? What made you choose this box over the others available? I'm very tempted by this box top, price is a lot more reasonable than other sellers
