Hi Terri. Welcome to the club. The heated seats shouldn't change the cd. . . . The console is made up of four parts, the radio and heater dials are screwed together. If you're parked up with the engine off, put the gear stick to 2nd or 4th and put both hands under the heated seats part and press up and pull. There is nowhere to grab, so it may take a couple of attempts, but ultimately it should slide towards you.

Once it's out, just check the cables are in the right place, sounds silly I know, but there should be 3 sets of cables. One each for the heated seats and one for traction control/snow.

If there are any more then someone with more knowledge than me may have to step in. The radio unit should only have two cables. The aerial and the speaker set. If you have satnav, you may have that plugged into your radio too . . . . If you've got anytihing out of the ordinary, just let us know.

Stuart.

Welcome to the club, As Stuart said firstly check the wiring to see if anythings obvious.

If not your'e probably going to be best off getting an auto electrician out.

Check the fuse box in the footwell. If you've got a leak coming in, often that gets wet, and when electrical hubs get wet, strange things have been known to happen!

Totally unrelated but years ago when digital watches came out I was in a bowling alley in Canada. The watch I was wearing made a bleep on the hour, and every time it bleeped the score board changed by several digits, now that was wierd!

The scoreboard didn't just have a clock on it did it? ;)

No it was rediculous really, it was a digital scoreboard that just seemed to pick up a signal from the watch, one of the strangest things I've seen, or maybe they were communicating!! :alien:
