Is200 Startup Issue? Maybe...

Okay so I never really new about this and whether or not it's a problem but last night around 9pm me and a friend went to get some food from a local superstore, came out, loaded the cars with shopping and started up our engines, my mate left his driver side window open a bit (Silly ****) and said what's that rattling noise coming from your engine? That said once it's been running all is well...and since he said that I'm hearing it all the time on startup lol and is a little worrying!

Anyone experienced this?

Yes i sometimes get a rattle/clicking noise coming from the throttle body. After investigation i saw moving parts making the noise. Only happened maybe twice since owning the car in 6 months. Other ppl have reported it also. I wouldnt rule it out with this but thats my only experience of any noise coming from mine. Hope this helps

when very cold i used to get a slight tapping on start up, I put this down to my car being parked on a sloping driveway & the oil not quite getting to where it needed to in the first couple of seconds.

Yeah when i got mine it was jacked up, so a slope....
