The rear of my mk3 is definitely sitting too low. It doesn't feel firm with people in the back and bounces around. I had rear springs and shocks done last year and had fun replacing one of the rear carrier arm bushes myself. The wishbones etc are all looking in poor condition so thinking its time to replace. How far should I go?

Cheers

Jim

I am breaking a mk3 ls400 and all of the rear suspension is available.

I have an account with UPS too.

Most parts cheap, because I want to help and I can't keep the car for ever.

Strange the only thing that nornally affects ride height are the springs and shock absorbers or dampers stop the spring oscillating and therefore prevent the car from bouncing around.

Were the parts OEM?

Hi Steve,

They were KYB parts. Have had the rear of car jacked up recently and when it came down it sat much as it should but then has started to 'settle' again.....

I think if you jack the car up, while the suspension is hanging down, you might be able to see up at the springs with a torch.

On a previous car, both mine broke about half a coil turn from the top, ...... On both sides.

I also notice that I am getting uneven wear on my rear tyres with the inside edge wearing more. Have read somewhere that this could indicate suspension issues?
