Recommended Posts

ive read on here that most people use bg244 as there choice of cleaner, but can i ask why? im not the most knowledgeable person about cars etc but i do know millers is a top make and you can get there product for half the price.

You can use whatever you like. Try the Millers and report back.

The AR6200 promotes cleaner burning at a lower temperature, and helps to reduce carbon deposits.

Sorry, I only just noticed you have a 220d.....duh!

From my own experiences...I had a 220d for nearly two years...I would strongly recommend that you try both BG244 (as a top end carbon/soot remover) and also try AR6200 (as afuel additive to help clean burning of fuel) or similar product as I found they worked rather well. Both are still used on the 220 as my son now has the car.

While on the subject of cleaning I cleaned my egr valve and looking inside my inlet manifold I noticed a lot of sludge which I tried to get off by scraping it off and putting into a cloth but there was quite abit how does this get removed and does the manifold need to come off????

Have a look at my links in post #5 above. The cleaning kit that I used did a splendid job, it doesn't just clean the EGR Valve. If you need more information and some expert guidance, Give Peter Trott a call, his details are given somewhere in the thread, he is extremely helpful and even offers to do the job if the person requiring help lives within a reasonable distance.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!

That's the first word that came to mind when I drove out of the garage after having a terra-clean for 2 months now my car has not had much poke in all gears to a point I hated driving it but after this treatment hand on heart I noticed the difference straight away so to all you deisel owners with high mileage cars I would recommend it to get your car back to somewhere it should of been pre 70000 miles

That is very good to hear. Think there may be quite a few 220d/200d drivers out there that will benefit from giving this a try.

Thanks very much for giving the heads up to all.
