A magnet attached to something flexible then try and get the magnet to come into contact with the pins of the bulb once thats done you should be able to get it out.

Got mine from what I can only describe as Arkwrights Stores ( Ronnie Barker) locally.

B & Q may well do it, maybe Maplins, the former Woolworth's now appearing in some quarters as Well Worth It.

Really, any decent Tools stockist should have something like this.

a flexible pick up tool (pearl catcher) is probably the best thing, couldn't find one at Screwfix:

Yup I got one from maplins, literally just got it out, worked a treat so if any of you guys get in this situation, this is literally the way to go! So glad I got it out without taking the headlight off! Thanks for your help guys, saved a lot of time :)

I got mine from Morrisons petrol station when it was one of those DSL promotion offers on the pumps,even has an LED illuminated magnet!

Another method for non magnetic items is a stick with a big blob of Blutac firmly attached.
