I will be taking my new CT 200h Advance shortly across the channel. The TomTom satnav has a memory SD card marked Western Europe and the card directory also contains a folder named Western Europe. However, I can only access maps for the UK and Vatican City. Am I right, that I'll have to buy and download European maps via TomTom Home?

I am not 100% sure, but I do not think so. All western europe countries should be included, and you need to find the correct menu to switch to the other european countries.

Without wanting to state the obvious, have you checked the instructions?

Go to where it displays united kingdom and Vatican city, simply push the up cursor, its simply at the bottom of the list.

All the other countries will appear further up.
