Lexus Paint Touch-Up Set

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had any success using the latest Lexus Touch-up Set?

I've got a PZ448-W1G11-09 Silver Met kit for my Argento Silver IS250 F-Sport MY2011

I've carefully rubbed down the touch-up paint on a very small stone chip with the soft fibre end of the basecoat bottle, as per instructions.

That resulted in a finish (yet to be Clearcoated I admit) darker than I expected.

I'm wondering if the Clearcoat will lighten the colour?

Did you give the base coat a damned good shake to thoroughly mix it all up. They can settle out quite badly if left for a long period. I would have expected the colour to be spot on.

Yes, I did give it a good shake.

I'm particularly mindful about that.

Although the instructions do not tell you to shake the canister.

But I could not hear those little balls you get rattling in other paint canisters.

I thought that was odd.
