Rear Suspension Bushes Worn. Failed Mot

Hi guys,

My beloved is200 failed it's NCT (Irish MOT) yesterday due to worn rear suspension bushes and worn front ball joints.

I ordered the front ball joints (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181096008922 and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200892863673) but I am unsure if I have purchased the right bushings for the rear suspension. The tester made markings on the suspension to indicate where the problem was:

I ordered rear knuckle bushes - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170984450754 based on reading http://www.clublexus.com/forums/suspension-and-brakes/595492-diy-rear-axle-carrier-knuckle-bushing-replacement.html.

Did I get the right ones?

I'm pretty gutted with the failure as I spent €1650 last month on new front suspension arms and front tyres.... can't bring myself to ditch the car though.

I jacked up the car and had a closer look and I'm now nearly sure I got the right part. To save hassle at the garage, could anyone confirm?

Just in case anyone else has the same problem. The knuckle bushing was indeed the right part. A nightmare to swap though.

MOT retest next tuesday. Fingers crossed.

I got an advisory on these this year so thanks for this info. I'll be getting them done. I also had to do my front ball joints to get it through the MOT so looks like we know what this cars weakness is.

so you changed the bush that holds the geometry in place, did u get it re- aligned?

your rear tyres seem to be wearing on the inside a little tho which could have been advised but testers choice I guess
