HI CAN ANYBODY HELP MY ABS LIGHT IS ON AND TRC LIGHT FLASHES ALL THE TIME BE EN TO A MECHANIC CODE C1223 COMES UP AND FRONT RIGHT ABS SENSOR FAULTY HE SEEMS TO THINK ABS PUMP HAS GONE WHICH WOULD COST A FORTUNE LOOLIN ON OTHER FORUMS PEOPLE HAVE REPLACED THE SENSOR AND ITS CLEARS HAS ANDBODY ELSE HAD THE PROBLEM DON'T WANT TO SPEND OUT ON A SENSOR AND ITS THE PUMP GONE THANKS

What other code was showing for the sensor? In any case, change the sensor 1st and reset the DTC codes and take it from there.

Just the code for right front abs sensor and that code c1223

Why does the mechanic think its the pump? I bet the pump is more expensive than just the sensor. I would start with the sensor. Pretty sure if the code says faulty sensor then that's exactly what it is.

Oh and by the way.... NO NEED TO SHOUT!

i have the same thing happening but it only happens sometimes and usually if i turn the car off and on again it stops

Prob loose wire to the sensor.... Happened to my mate, drive him mad the light coming on and going off all the time!

My sensor's wire got loose and isolation was rubbed of by tyres. Luckily I found the problem, replaced the wire and ABS sensor was still good to go. So you might check for broken wire holders first ;)

I had this, and it was only water getting into the passenger side footwell electrics!
