Sat Nav Problem

Hi can anyone help me,my sat nav was working fine,but then the next day when I tried to use it,it kept coming up saying please check CD-ROM,I don't no wether to buy a new sat nav unit or a new cd-rom.Some body help please

For starters if it was working okay,try taking out the cd and give it a clean and do same to the module using a cd cleaner and see if that gets it going again

Hi guys I have cleaned all the disc and the unit,but still no look. This happened a few months ago but eventually come back on. Mine plays a cd-rom so been wondering if it's that which needs replacing.

Well in that case it could be the module in the boot then

Only other thing i can think of is the laser is shot. You should be able to just replace the laser if so, i have in CD roms on my pc before
