Wheel Spacers!

Hi Guys,

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Looking to purchase wheel spacers. Might go for 15mm at the front and 20mm at the back with 9.5 x 18in ET20 Rota Grid alloys

or

Keep my stock alloys and purchase the wheel spacers.

You got a good deal price on those ROTA alloys? I wud keep the stock wheel as winter wheels

A friend of mine had them on his Lexus and wants to sell. £450 including tyres pretty sure there not genuine.

Where could I buy wheel spacers from?

Checked eBay but no good.

Like i said very good company, cost me £132 for 4 which i thinks a bargain as you can have them down to your own specs so they will fit well with no vibrations. Studs are a little harder to find and a lot harder to fit so be prepared for a fight ;)

Wheel spacers provide an expensive opportunity to fit wheels to make an IS200 both look stupid and handle badly. But it is a free country.

I believe wheel spacers make the car look a lot better and helps fill the wheel archs better, as for handling I've noticed no difference in the handling :-)

Proper hubcentric aluminum wheel spacers with a sensible width and their own lugs will be fine.

I have Eibach spacers on mine, 15mm on front, 20mm rear.

Where did you purchase them from? if you don't mind me asking.

I can't find any Lexus is200 spacers

I got them online from carnoisseur direct. The type you need for your car is the system 4 type.

Yes, you are right, but the calculations suggest that the extra strain at standstill is only 2% up from stock, at 20mm. I'm looking at doing this for Zorro. 15mm at the front and 20mm at the rear.

Stuart, I have never liked the idea of fitting what ammounts to a packing shim between the hub and the wheel, you double the number of joints that could allow the wheel to be slightly off center, no matter how small the tolerance.... The wheel itself sits on a very narrow spigot and adding a shim increases the chances of the wheel not sitting right...

That's a very obvious thing that I had not thought of. If I do decide to get the spacers and then fit them, I will be cautious and ensure that I monitor them. I plan to use hubcentric spacers that bolt to the hub and then use studs that go all the way through the spacer and hub.

Hubcentric ones should be fine as its basically just pushing out the spigot so the alloy is still resting on it.. Mine have been on roughly a month with 0 problems :)

Well, if I do get them and put them on, I'll make sure I am cautious and monitor what is going on. Cheers Adam. I thought that's what Hubcentric Spacers were.
