I guys,

I acquired my 08 GS450h a few days ago and love it. My question is about the guidance lines on the reverse camera.

I have done a google search and had a look on here but I cannot find out how to turn them on, what am I doing wrong?

Hi Greg. Great looking GS. Welcome to LOC.

I don't have any advice for the reversing camera, but even once you've got the advice from the guys here, because someone will know. pop back down to your local Lexus Dealership for a cuppa and a natter. The one great thing I've noticed about being a Lexus Owner, is the Dealership are friendly to you, regardless of how old the car is!

Thanks Stuart,

I love forums for that very reason, like minded people who like help out fellow owners.

I might just pop into my local dealership if they are as nice, either Chester or Liverpool. Just hope they don't try to do me over on prices ;)

Hi Greg, warm welcome LOC.

Car look great, wot a colour combination!

Hope I am wrong but I think some of these cars do not have guidance lines available on the screen, I think this topic has been covered some time ago.

Enjoy the new motor, dealers in the main are very honest and helpful.

Tony

Hi Greg.Nice car.

Have not been to Liverpool. but Lexus Chester are fine.I deal with

Richard Clapham who should be able to advise you.

Good luck.

Regards

Thanks guys, this is exactly what I mean. People happy to help fellow owners. I will pop in to Chester and see if I can speak to Richard.

I've defiantly seen The guidance lines on other GS's but I don't have any icons at the bottom of my screen

I've the 2007 model so just I just had a look at mine. Obviously put car in reverse and camera comes on. There is a little icon button in he bottom left hand corner (there is also one on the bottom right for parallel or kerb parking ) Press the screen button on the left and it will scroll through three different options, one has no lines, the others are with the lines in different patterns.

Hope this helps.

Hi Keleko .

Have you solved your problem with the navigation lines ? I am asking you because i bought a mini vci cable and i tried it tonight on my car and on the techstream software there is an option to customize the display where you can select the lines to be on or off and i was thinking it might be possible to activate them.

Hi doro708,

I keep meaning to pop to the local Lexus dealer to have a look but as I'm self employed and work 6 days a week it's hard to get out unless it's important so no I've not had a chance.

Where have you gotten this cable from so I can get hold of one?

Hi Keleko and sorry for the late reply. I got the cable from eBay and it is called minivci , i hope it will not be considered advertise ad i don't have anything to do with it and i can only encourage the members on the forum to do that because they could save loads of money. You will see that is cheap as well compared with what you pay at any garage for a diagnostic.
