IS 430 NOT LIKLEY TO BE HERE BEFORE THE MK2 IS SERIES GETS HERE.

I GOT THIS INFO FROM A DIRECTOR AT LEXUS SO IT IS QUITE RELIABLE

THEY DO HAVE 2 PROTOTYPES ONE IN JAPAN AND TTE HAVE ONE AS WELL

HE HAD DRIVEN ONE AND HIS WORDS WERE IT IS F**KING FAST AND WHEN I ASKED HIM IF IT WOULD BE A DIRECT COMPETITOR FOR THE M3 HE DID NOT REALY GIVE ME A STRIGHT ANSWER:flaming:

it would be doubtful that it will ever be released at all.. especially in the UK.. however i have heard that it maybe on special order only...

personally it would not sell here if they released t on the market.. however special ordered IS430 would be good.

The next model is released 2005.. so quite a long wait

If it does get released then it would be for the US market.

When I was at the Essen show with Mat, we talked with the guys from TTE and they said that the IS430 kompressor was a prototype only.

The prototype had cost more than 200K DM :wow:.

ok then..........for a little more accurate info.

the TTE is430 compressor will not ever be going into production,the car has only ever been driven on the test track.

the only option that is available is if a customer with a is200/300 wishes to have his/her car converted for at the time 100,000dm..........

TTE have statedthat this car is more than likely going to be and has been used by Toyota Corp,as a test bed fro the future IS Models ,As its now known that all future models will use the "V" configuration engine,and also to see if the platform can handel large bhp.

the next problem is that Toyota Corp are not willing to supply TTE with new body shells/transmissions and engines,so the cars cannot be built in Cologne.
