Tyre Choice Recommendations

Recommended Posts

Rear tyres are up for replacement soon; currently stock potenza RE50s but not too excited by them (grip being the main issue).

From forum and google research I'm tending towards Michelin SuperSport Pilot rubber but can't decide on width. Seems I can either go stock @255/35, 265/30 and what seems to be recommend; 275/30?

My only other question is if I change the rears to 265/275 I'm assuming it's essential to match the fronts at the same time to give balance to the force (lol).. If I go with 265 or 275 the matching fronts would be 245/35/19 correct?

The fronts stock again and do have a far bit of life left in them so not too keen on replacing them now.

Advice/input from others who've made the switch would be appreciated. Thanks!

Vredestien ultrac sessanta pal. Better than Bridgestone, Pirelli etc and similar price if not a mite cheaper. Google the and compare against others on the tyre review site. Quiet as well.

Stuno1: Lol, at first I thought that was a bunch of spelling mistakes / gibberish at the start of your sentence... and then looked them up! never heard of Vredestien before for some reason....

I've found them on camskill and they seem good on fuel eff. + quiet but not so good on wet grip unlike michelins but are a few quid cheaper but not in stock here for 275/30 but ok for 265/30

Anyone comment on choice of 265/30 vs 275/30 vs standard?
