What clutch kits are you guys using when supercharging or turbocharging your cars to about 210/220 brake. In the market for new clutch kit and also like to turbo my IS.

Just read that the RS200 Altezza clutch will fit. Altezza uses same clutch as Toyota 3SGTE Celica GT4.

Is this true - Altezza clutch can be used?

From what I've read all the 3s engines and jz engines share flywheel and clutch spline patterns. Oh and the rx8 for some reason.

The IS200 and RX-8 uses the same gearbox apparently :P

Yes they all use the aisin box but all with different bell housing and end caps.

Only the is200 and Altezza share the came clutch.

Bell housings will be different, but spline are same - so drive plate is same, both 225mm

Pressure plate is same too

Nope....manual on the 300 in US is 5 gears not 6 and it's a hell of a lot better than the 200's gearbox apparently.

In my opinion the manual transmission lets the 200 down. It's clunky and notchy and since changing to an auto 300 I've noticed such a difference :)

That's interesting actually. Was it just the spacing of the ratios that made the 300's gearbox better, or was it the shift feel, durability, etc?

I've been curious about this too, but couldn't find anyone who could compare these two gearboxes side-by-side, because the IS200 wasn't available in markets where the IS300 manual was sold.

It's a completely different gearbox I believe.

same ones used in GS430/LS430 V8's Ganesh...smooth as you like.. and can apparently handle a lot of torque through it 350-400 bhp with just a valve body upgrade for the auto and manual is the W55 gearbox

All the boys doing the is200 1jz engine conversions are using the r152 gearbox from a supra.

1jz and 2jz share bell housing bolt design.
