dave1 51 Report post Posted January 21, 2014 I tried Flux for quote some years ago. For me you proved very expensive and also totally inflexible so I went with A Plan. I now find it far better to deal direct with insurers rather than through brokers such as yourself. (or A-Plan)

steve2006 1,173 Report post Posted January 21, 2014 Not a peep Ian. The way they show the price of the cover is a little misleading ( even the staff I spoke to agreed with this). They show the actual cost of the policy which in my case was £238.65 but then there are "admin/broker fees" on top so the actual price was £324.00. So where this club discount comes in I don't know. IHgs300 336 Report post Posted January 21, 2014 That's some admin fee Steve. Adrian flux had a similar scheme on VVOC, that didn't last long either iirc. I know there were a lot of dissatisfied customers.
DazR 1 Report post Posted April 7, 2014 Was with Adrian Flux last year and coming up for renewal next month. I know I will not be using them again as A-plan has not only beat there quote they have halved it. So even with there so called 15% discount you save nothing as they have very high broker fees, and even more on top for going monthly.
steve2006 1,173 Report post Posted April 11, 2014 It's a good job I didn't have to make a claim with AF, still waiting for a response to my question asked nearly 3 months ago! Good point regarding the extortinate charges for monthly payments, they use a 3rd party for credit with something like a 42.0% APR. This is even used if you just want to make 2 payments over 2 months, infact last time they assumed I wanted to do this and took half the premium by DD, it was returned eventually. Strange how my home insurance is paid monthly with no interest charges at all.
