Latest? E15? Sorry, but you must be kidding! The latest is E18!

You must be amazed that its got to £90 already! You can get brand new E18 2014 Western Europe for £65

I don't mind the price - considering it is the full 4 discs set - i guess the price is OK. I object misleading information - it is far from being the latest, yet it is indeed the first version that allows setting destination on the go!

Does E18 work on a 2005

When this was bought in April 2013 it was the latest version that will work in a 2005

It's working perfect! It doesn't matter the production year as far as the navigation system is Gen 3, Gen 5, TNS 600/700.

The release date of E18 is October 2013.

Sorry - have to correct myself - the possibility of destination input while driving is available since version E12 (2009/2010)

I upgraded my 2008 RX400h sat nav discs to E13 discs which allowed destination settings on the go. When I exchanged the RX400h for an RX450h I replaced the original discs so now I have a full set of E13 discs available.

Does the "on the go" update allow you to change other settings on the move or just the destination? It's very annoying how nannying the thing is, cutting out half the options. Can't even set the mirror/seat memory position! It's a split second press with one hand.

I'll probably buy the E18 West Europe disk anyway because the idea of having the newest firmware appeals to my shiny instinct, but would be good to know what has changed.

If you mean phone, audio, etc. browsing while driving - nope! To be able to do this there are certain devices you can buy or a hardware hack (involving disconnecting few wires).

Yeah I mean things like setting up the phone (or does the updated firmware not make you go through 4 menus to change which phone is connected?) or other settings, so thanks for clearing that up.

Fine as long as you don't need Germany etc. This is only one out of the four disc set. I wouldn't mind paying the 125 lexus demands if the maps were actually up to date. The last update was missing roads that were over two years old...
