Due to a tyre puncture this morning while trying to get into work (bloody Tube strike), and having to put the spare on. I've had to bite the bullet and get 5 new tyres. (The spare turned out to be nearing the legal limit too).

£981 for 5 Hankook Ventus S1EVO 2 tyres to be fitted on Saturday :msn-oh: size 245/45 R19.

But I managed to get the Techstream software on my MacBook laptop talking to the car, and managed to recalibrate the steering so it's perfectly centred and the LKA now works exactly as it should (it was a little bit off before and was fighting the driver - though the car was tracking perfectly straight with the wheel straight ahead, the electronics thought it was turning right and so the LKA would try to go left to compensate).

Alex I have never noticed any difference and normally pay more attention to the noise figure as I don't like noisy tyres.

My theory is if a tyre is more fuel efficient then the manufacturer has to reduce the rolling resistance which means the tyre will be made of harder rubber therefore the ride will not be smooth.

recommended tyres for the 400 are Dunlops, Avons, Falkens and I can personally vouch for continentals on the 400.

I am now running dunlops sp sport on my 430 after I found bridgstones noisier.
