its a nice car, one of the first turbo ones created i believe,

if there is a worry about the state of the shell im sure you can pick up a decent car cheap and swap all the bits over.

PS if you ever want to get rid of the gauge mounts id love to get my hands on them!

Looks a nice car, but if you have only just bought it, please have a read of this.

A thread from a while ago about your car.

http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/86360-newby-requiring-info-on-my-possible-purchase/

Only just made aware of this,I have quite a few mots and the service records,I will post up the previous MOTS later on.I'm pretty sure the mileage of 70k is genuine but I will double check the paperwork for sure.

At the end of the day it's a 12yr old plus car and lots of car have had some sort of accident damage. My mate is a panel beater and sprayer,I am gonna get him to have a good look at the car over the weekend. As

mentioned above,I could always swap the parts onto another shell if I really wanted to,the shell seems fine though and the car drives superbly well.To be honest I had the car pretty cheap, nowhere near the asking price,so it's not all bad hopefully.

Welcome to LOC.

That car does have a bit of history... Hope it works out for you :)

Yes I have now read the above,a bit diasppointing really because the car looks and drives so very good indeed.

Guage mounts, well you never know,I will bear you in mind if I do decide to sell them in the future.

Thanks.Lee.

I have just been through the paperwork and I have every MOT and the service book and it all corresponds as far as I can see, current mileage is just over 70k.

Thanks.Lee.

Don't worry about that thread mate, a lot of cars have had a knock or two in the past.

I'm pretty sure it has got its rods and pistons as the power has been with that car a long time and the standard rods would have long since gone.

yes I agree with the above a lot of cars have had some sort of bump, paint, panel replacement etc,the car is over 12 yrs old now so i guess things do tend to happen.

I agree the pistons/rodst etc must have been done, confirmed by the guy who built the engine so that's good enough for me as you say the standard pistons/rods would never have taken that sort of power for long.

Thanks.Lee.

If your happy with the car that's all that matters really. I only posted the link to make you aware of possible problems.

I am more than happy with the car,I think I had it for a very good price, for a 300bhp car and over 30k spent on it,I can't fault it so far.

No problem at all reg the link, much appreciated.

Cheers.Lee.
