Tv In Dash Just Like The Nav Sys

Hi all

If anyone is interested in installing a tv into their lexus is200 dash (where the stock nav is based) then read on…………………..

There is specific equipment allows you to manually open the tv which is embedded into the dash just like the stock nav, at extra cost it can be motorised.

The above mentioned is installed by a professional who has installed similar systems in numerous cars. I have emailed him to find out if it could be done on a Lexus is200 he replied and said yes. Currently awaiting his phone call, as soon as I find out more details will keep you posted.

Last but not least he is charging £200 for this equipment + installation.

Would be interested in more details - i.e. does he just install the motorised screen and then we have to go out and buy the DVD system etc? Does TV actually Work? Whats the quality? Etc, Etc.

Sounds too cheap to be true......But keep us posted be good to see some development pictures.

Currently developing a simular motorised project using OEM top dash mount piece and JDM pocket cover...

Price does not include the SCREEN (Monitor unit).

So for £200 all you get is a motor assembly and cover ?

I will have a complete solution in a matter of a few months...... All you have to do is modify your JDM type dash tray..................Will keep you all posted if there is interest.
