Roof Rack/roof Bicycle Holder

Recommended Posts

Hi

Just been exploring the ways to carry my bike in IS. Checked the website and noted that roof rack along with roof bike holder is an option. Quote by Lexus Cardiff:

Roof rack 177 + VAT

Bike holder 61+ VAT

Total inc VAT £322

15% discount if order by Friday- £274

Thought its bit costly..

Any ideas for alternatives or any solutions to for bike carriers?

Put the back seats down and put in the boot. Use an old towel or duvet to protect the bumper while putting it in or out.

I put a massive 7 rung step ladder in mine last week.

Lexus normally use Thule as the OEM for their roof bars etc. Not sure if the IS ones has been especially commissioned or just a standard model that fits. They some retails suggest that some of the standard Thule bars will fit the new IS.

Same goes for the cycle holder. Once you have rails any one should fit. Standard Thule ones are in Halfords for £50 including VAT.
