Heated Seats

I can only compare these to my Audi, but I think the heated seats are really poor, the A4 used to get so warm that I always had to turn them down, I can hardly feel anything in the IS, to the point that its not worth having them on.

Does anyone else have the same, or is it just me.

Mine seem to get nice and warm. Perhaps your heated element needs replacing?

Got the heated and ventilated seats on mine and it's either Chilly Willy or a Hot Botty !!

I agree tinka, on the hottest setting they don't seem to get bum wiggling hot, but they do warm up quick.

Mine also seem to turn down and off automatically. Is there are another setting to keep them on all the time that I've missed?

No, they are auto only. Mine seem adequate, certainly better than 2nd Gen.

I need to check the manual, but I think there is an option where you hold down both the passenger and driver button at the same time and change it so that remain at the setting without it changing down to one automatically.

The manual says :

"The seat heater timer control can be turned on and off by pressing the seat heater switches for the driver side and front passenger side at the same time until a buzzer sounds. The buzzer will beep once when the seat heater timer control is turned on and twice when it is turned off."

The heating and cooling on my 3rd generation IS250 does not seem to me to be any better and, in fact, probably not as good as on my two previous IS250s.

Same on the GS - just warm. Try a Mini's heated seats. They actually sting!

I agree with the OP - they are not too good, certainly not compared to other cars I have driven ( to be fair I have only tried them the once).
