Is 200 Wheels Et Offset

Firstly, Apologies if this has already been covered.

I'm looking to buy a set of wheels to replace my original 5 spoke alloys. I appreciate some of you will be saying get them refurbished, but to me they are to far gone to spend the money on. Besides I like the original diamond cut look and not the repainted wheel which tends to happen.

I've seen a set of wheels where the ET is 45. Am I right to assume that the ET on the IS is 50? If so, does that mean a wheel which is ET 45 will sit further inside the wheel arch? Other than affecting the way the car looks, will it affect how it drives and handles?

Thanks

Use the calculator on the link below to find the difference with the 2 wheels, the offset and other information is normally stamped on the reverse side of the wheel but offset on OEM wheels is quoted as being between 38 and 45 so they should fit without problems.

Another consideration is the wheel bore which on Lexus is 60.1, if the bore on the new wheels is larger you will need to fit suitable spigot rings.

Finally most after market wheels use tapered wheel nuts so you may also have to replace these too.
