Although I have a feeling it's just been sold. It's MOTd but no tax.

No cars have tax any more, after our wonderful HMG messed around with the rules.

As I understand it, the new owner must tax it from day one, so the crafty sods get revenue from all the part months, that can't be cashed in when selling, and from the buyer having to buy a complete month even if they only need a couple of days to the end of the month.

Wonder how much that adds up to over a year, several million quid I'd guess.

I just bought an IS250 SE-L last week and had to tax it. £285 for the year. I opted for 12 monthly direct debit payments.....total cost £299.25 !!! A bargain I'd say, much better than the premium previously charged for just a six month disc. So, not all bad !

The seller has no idea what it is either, let alone who owned/used it before! Saying that it's only a wrap so easily returned to original.

We were looking for this car on another forum a few years ago. Just out of curiosity, to see who owned Alan's 300 lol

Wow! Welcome!

Any plans for it? Visited any owl sanctuaries?

Bit of a Partridge fan myself and I do remember looking up this car on the MOT site when I got my own Japanese Mercedes.

Was it known to be up for sale or is this a fluke?

What condition is it in now?  If half decent then myself and mates would be up for buying this off you! :)

  • 71 Hybrid Reliability

    1. 1. If you were to consider buying a Hybrid model over 5 years old, would you be worried about the reliability of the Hybrid system?

      • Not really as Hybrid systems are always reliable
      • Not if it had a Manufacturers Warranty on the Hybrid system
      • I would not buy a Hybrid model over 5 years old
