Lazy Window

ever since I've had the car the driver's window has been very slow going up and down and now I think its getting worse.

The passenger window is fine.

I'm guessing the door card is going to have to come off and start looking for a problem with the motor.

Any ideas as what I should be looking for ?

Worst case scenario is that I take into local Lexus stealers and let them look at it but I would like to have a look myself first.

Thanks

The door cards come of quite easily, there are hidden screws behind the cover in the handle and behind the little speaker where the mirror is,

I would remove both sides that way you can watch what is meant to happen and what is actually happening, remember most parts take 3days from main stealers, but you can get replacements from breakers check the famous auction site. Good luck.

Actually ... When i first picked my SC up. My drivers window was slow and squeaked. I rubbed a bit of french chalk along the top of the door cards rubber and since then its been fine. I guess one door card fits better than the other and the seal is tighter on one side. Seams to have cured it though

The only thing that i know of that will cause a window to slow down are if the motor has worn (Expensive), and if there is too much friction, on one of the joins in the mechanism or on the seal. I suppose there could also be a bad earth some ... but the only way you can tell if once you get the door card off I'm afraid.
