Finally Found Out What Was Up With My Baby

I don`t know if anyone remembers.... or cares..lol, but about 4 weeks ago i had a problem with my Altezza, She went REALLY sluggish and the engine light came on on the dashboard.

Then when idle she was really rough... whole car was shaking, and there was a smell of burning.

So off i went to my local Toyota dealer ( who have always been really helpful before this ) they, did a test and sure enough they got some codes from the ECU, but had nothing to cross reference them with as the engine is completely different to the is200.

So, thwey charged me £100 for a "Technicians" report, which basically said that they had found the codes but didn`t know what they were, probably the throttle body needed replacing. ( shat myself as this is over £700), but he COULDNT guarentee it!!

So off i went and logged on to the NZ LOC ( because they have 98% Altezza`s rather than is200 ( jammy sods), and a couple of the guys helped me out with the codes.

So i went back armed with these codes, but to be honest they didn`t wanna know!!

So i took it to a local specialist garage " DP Motorsport in Warrington", WOW what a guy!!!

He has found it to be one of the ignition coils had almost melted!!!

When i asked how much they were ( thinking it would be expensive) he replyed about £65 +VAT

i am over the moon, my baby is going to be fit and well again, and with the money i have saved i can get my Rotordiscs!!! YIPPEE.

Definately recommend the,,, DP Motorsport in Warrington.
