I would guess this has been asked previously !

Has anyone found a simplified way of changing the headlight bulbs other than some of the YouTube vids I have found suggesting removing the front bumper and grill to drop the headlamp units out ?

I am considering removing the air filter box on one side and the screen wash filler neck on the other side.

Any thoughts ?

I got a mechanic to pop night breakers into mine.

On a side note why has my car 2 main beam bulbs? the bi-xenon have main/low beam purpose, why the need for an additional main beam?

if they are standard Xenon then you need 2 bulbs, 1 HID for low beam and 1 halogen for high beam.

unless I am wrong.

Just be warned that nightbreakers have a VERY short life span (about 1/4 of regular bulbs). You'll be changing them out regularly.

The recommended way to change the bulbs is to remove the washer bottle funnel and the air box. No need to drop the bumper. You don't even need to do that to take the whole units out.

don't see any problems with mine, about my question on HIDs, has the SE-L Bi--Xenon bulb? it should be a single bulb for high/low beam, if thats the case why is there a bulb for the high beam too, a halogen one.

Thank you Mark, my thought as well, the bumper removal videos seemed very drastic ! I fitted Night Breakers to my other half's car 2 years ago , improved the night drive no end and still going. There seem to be a few higher performance brand bulbs out there but equally many opinions as to their levity vs lighting improvement. Any opinions re bulb brands gladly received. Thanks
