I pick my RC-F up tomorrow and the least of my concerns are

what Mr Clarkson thinks of it, 0-60 times and how fast it will go round a

track.

However it seems to me like you can fix any drag race, in

the clip it looked like the BMW had major traction problems with smoke Cumming

from the rear tyres for most of the race, the BMW as mentioned above seem to be

catching the RC-F quite quickly towards the end of the race, so if the drag

race was 300 yards longer the result may have been different, which I find odd

because most of the reviews I have read have said that the RC-F lacks low end

torque so the race should have been the other way round with the RC-F catching

the BMW up.

So only 14 hours to go, am I excited well yes, will I sleep

tonight well no actually I start work at 10.30pm till 05.30am.

Nice! Come to the Cambridge meet chap :)

How true. I think he displayed his contempt for Lexus by refusing to "waste time" sending the Stig to do a lap. Either that or he was afraid he would be shown up as a true "gentlemen's sausage".

There is no doubt that Stig would have taken it around the track. In their view it would have been a waste of time to show it on the programme.

Not as much a waste of time as the rest of the show was. I would have liked to see the Stig put the RCF around the track, but not as much as seeing Clarkson & May returning from Canada having been unable to find Hammond.

Lovely car Chris, really hope you enjoy it. Precisely the same colour combination I would go for if 'er indoors would let me have one....which she won't!! Don't know how Clarkson can call it ugly, has he looked in the mirror recently?? Do let us know how you get on with it!

Don't forget - Top Gear is back on again tonight, 8pm, and I bet all those that slag off the show, and Jezza & crew, will still be tuning in to watch ;)

I just watch it for the entertainment value. If was the same 3 doing a gardening program I'd still watch.

Finally! Someone that understands what the programme is about! I can't believe in this day and age, 20 something seasons down the line, people still think this is a car review show!

well i love mine and the colour really glistens in the sunshine

Looks good Chis...just got off the phone to Ultimate Finish as I am arranging a paint correction there in April and they said your car was in. As a matter of fact it will be on their blog as well.

Are you pictures after the new car treatment as it looks fantastic.

Have fun with it.

Chris - looks 'the mutts' :P

Love the colour combo and the plate too, and I know these things look better 'in the metal', so must be amazing.

Have you noticed the number of inquisitive / admiring looks you're getting when you drive it? Seemed nearly everyone was looking at the car when I took one out for a test drive, and that was in white which I don't think looks anywhere near as good as your blue :phone:

Program has been cancelled on Sunday as well. The report says he likes things to be done his way, and gets stroppy if anyone dares to cross him. Yeah, I bet he does. About time he was brought down a peg or too. Since the BBC want to increase the numbers of female presenters, perhaps they should poach V Butler-Henderson, or better still Sabine Schmitz as a replacement.

He simply can't help himself. Despite all the warnings, he just has to continue winding up the BBC management during the show by walking a very fine line between being naughty, and being offensive. Nevermind, if the worst comes to the worst I'm sure he would make a 1st class Transport Secretary for UKIP.

Hi Mark

thank you for you remarks

yes the car does seem to be attracting some attention, especially from next door when i start it up at 3am to go to work.lol.

have been lucky with the weather, the colour really shines in the sunshine, like the ISF i don't think people know exactly what it is.

what did you think of the test drive?

Jeremy Clarkson hates most cars that costs less than £100k, especially if they have a Lexus badge. Apart from the LFA, I don't think he has ever had anything nice to say about the brand. Top Gear is utter contrived rubbish now, and last night I found myself hoping that Hammond would get mauled by a grizzly, and Clarkson and May would get marooned in a snow drift, and perish from hypothermia. The show now has very little to do with cars, and more to do with three middle aged men acting like silly schoolboys, obsessed with their own genitalia. My money is on Clarkson making more inappropriate comments, and being sacked before too long. As cars are the second biggest purchase most of us make, there really should be a decent weekly TV show that looks at ORDINARY cars in a sensible and informative way.

Just as the doctor ordered :)
