Scratch Repairs/touch Up Paint

Recommended Posts

Noted a slight graze on rear bumper and a scratch on front bumper, and the driver handle

Not sure but my Prius came with a tin of touch up paint

In two minds, to get them fixed or not as more could appear as part of 'normal' exposure

Any solutions/suggestions? :phone:

A slight scratch can easily be polished out if it is just affects the clear laquer I had several on my is300 infact all the panels has scratches and swirls caused I think by dealer washes and a years worth of automatic car washes.

I dealt with them by hand with a medium cut (Menzerna) polish of the complete panels which now look superb. It was easy by hand to so confirms that Lexus paint is quite soft. I have also tried some Meguires Scratch X which worked well on individual marks. Whatever you do go carefully and dont over do it.

Afterwards I applied a good quality Wax to preserve the shine. My car now looks like a one year old car should & not how the Lexus dealer supplied it. I was stupid enough to pay for Superguard. A complete waste of money, the only part that was applied properly was the windscreen sticker although even that is wonky.
