  2. Hello everybody. Just taken ownership of a 2018 CT200h Premier, and love the car - mostly! The car itself if everything I expected and more and is totally different from the fuel thirsty Volvo V40 I had previously. I am however, having problems coming to terms with the Mark Levinson sound system, the USB input in particular. I know the USB input works, because it sees a 1Gb drive when inserted but 8,16 and 128 Gb don't show at all. Any ideas? Is there a limit to the size? (All have been formatted to FAT32) Cheers.
  3. I'm intrigued by the " flare tube " ......... for an emergency at sea 🤣 Malc
  4. Look up Alloygators. They’re rim protectors and I think, from practical experience, that they’re the best thing that can happen to alloy wheels! 😊
  5. Hi all. I understand that a lot of time has passed and the bumper has been removed for a long time... But not so long ago I also removed the bumper and found a good manual with diagrams where all the fasteners are indicated https://remont-bampera.com/en/lexus-nx-200-2015-2021 Perhaps it will be useful for someone.

  7. Hello, if your UX is an AWD (4 wheel drive) you lose the underfloor storage space in the trunk, the third electric engine for the rear axel taxes away that space. The repair tools for a flat tyre take away most of the space that remains. The first and second pictures are of a two wheel drive UX.
  8. I had also noticed that April had changed to "coming weeks". A bit of a worry. Paul
  9. Sorry but it shouldn’t be a surprise at all… as noted in the Lexus statement, and as others have shared in this thread, only the RX has a protection plate currently. A solution for other models is being communicated to dealers at the end of April (although it seems the statement now reads “coming weeks”)… https://mag.lexus.co.uk/lexus-uk-statement-on-vehicle-theft/?fbclid=IwAR2u1DC_0mAo4_kSpK_1FLViLNyHJq0nAKctwfXCMxQi1CwuNiGBA10yY0w_aem_ATXzc0mSafM1xX72JZyfSo-7KpoTKXtkPQjmf6ToRhjQ_4GsDaGMH6Nf5ACoFWEW2pE I know it’s not great having a vulnerable car, but Lexus was rather clear a solution wasn’t yet available.
  10. More than disappointed to hear this, TBH.
  11. What a surprise; call from dealer yesterday cancelling appointment to fit protection plate. Reason- they don’t exist unless you have an RX or NX. Add in the fact that the Lexus + app has not worked properly since about October 23 and my conclusion is that Lexus just do not care.
  12. Heya, just a Lexus newbie looking for some information that I have tried so hard to find - but have not been successful. I just bought my UX 250H F Sport Takumi E-4 - 2020 and noticed that I had the underfloor storage in the trunk that is just the cutouts unlike many other pictures posted on these forums. I would love to have the flat storage space so its actually a bit usable - is there a spare part I have to order to replace mine? The third picture is kind of what I have in my car, whereas the first two are what I have seen on these forums. Please do shed some light if you have any idea about this matter.
  13. I’m old and got no patience for tech, I see it as a necessary thing but I’d rather have a Lexus with a clockwork engine than a Tesla with decent tech.
  14. Oh aye, when every other car has a number plate made up to spell their name and people interfere with performance chips, I don’t think reducing the volume of the woo woo maker is going to attract the attention of the flying squad. 20,000 new cops on the street my left foot.
  15. Pictures are up .....hope they're going to refurb the wheels 🛞 for the price they're asking !!

  17. The centre bore can be larger than 60.1mm, but not smaller. Most aftermarket wheels have a bore size of 73.1mm. In this case, you can fit a set of hubcentric spigot rings to reduce the bore size down to the required 60.1mm. Also be aware you'll probably need new wheel nuts too, as the standard (flat seat) Lexus nuts are no good with aftermarket wheels. As for sizes, 8" wide with an ET around +40 is a pretty nice and safe fitment. I personally had this setup on my IS200 thanks to IS250 wheels and 5mm spacers, and was pleased with how it looked.
  18. Sounds like the tyres hopping/skipping. Quite normal and nothing to worry about. With lots of steering lock applied, the front wheels on these cars are in a positively cambered state, and effectively only using the outside edge of the tyre. Almost like the car is tiptoeing. Cold tyres are typically not yet pliable enough to cope and tend to hop & skip when performing a full-lock manoeuvre. This is more likely to happen with "sporty" tyres which have square-ish tread blocks on the edge. I think having larger wheels also exacerbates the issue as I suffered this a lot when I had 19" wheels.
  19. My IS has coils, what size wheels would you recommend? And how does the center hub work, does the wheel have to be exactly 60.1 (IS size c.h.) or it can be larger/smaller? 18"
  20. But the 1994 Celsior C-F spec I had did have a screen, OK it was really bad but never the less had one. Other extras include A fender pole, a windscreen washer rinse reservoir, a flare tube, a sat nav that constantly tries to take you to Tokyo and wool seats that bleat when you sit on them
  21. Hi Adomas and welcome to the LOC. Personally I wouldn’t fit them and they probably wouldn’t even align with the studs being 2.4mm out. ”Wobble nuts” and wheels aren’t a good proposition. You could get hub adaptors but again I wouldn’t simply on safety grounds, I like to know my wheels are secure and the correct type of nuts are torqued to 76 lb/ft
  22. I have found that if I turn the volume down low WhatsApp works as expected, not sure if this points to Apple or Lexus. Mine worked initially when I got the car but started having troubles after a IOS upgrade. I thought that it was apple but now not sure where the problem lies.
  23. Very true with this “Where’s there’s blame, there’s a claim” Not much point having a Lexus V8 noise though, pedestrians don’t hear my 4.3 litres creeping up behind them either 😀
  24. I am new to fitment and don't know much so I need help. Can these R18 5x112 wheels 7.5j et35 fit my is200? Can it fit with wobble nuts or do I need spacers?
  25. Might get away with it in an MoT but I wonder what position insurance companies would take if a pedestrian were injured having not heard an "acoustic vehicle alert system" that was found to have been deliberately muffled.
  26. With any of this stuff it should be easier than an easier thing to use ! I should never need to take it to Lexus to a ( Techy Geek) to sort. I was in my Son’s Tesla this week and it sorted itself (plain & simple) unless you need to charge it at some other charger than a Tesla one. ( he needed to change it’s charging rate) Wake up Lexus we were (my Son & I ) were in BudaPest at the weekend but he could talk to the car at anytime to the car parked in the UK. Scary I know (for as Old Git’s) but such is life nowadays.
  27. I can just see this as an MOT advisory. Minor faults. Section ivv “Unable to check hybrid engine noise generator as partially obscured by gaffer tape”
