Well... Lexus here in Sweden says it should NOT be like that but some of its retailers says it's perfectly normal!

I have the same "problem" as you are experiencing and my car has gone 3200 miles by now.

I have read that this problem will somewhat go away after a couple of thousand miles, but apparently it will not go away completely!

It also seems that not all IS200 has this issue!

Lets face it Gear Change in general on the IS is rubbish.

How do you mean "sloppy", bit "notchy" yes we all know that one.

Other than the problem of 2nd, I quite like the gear change.
