Radio Retuning Too Much...

Recommended Posts

Hi All, (my first post!)

I've just bought an IS200 SE Auto, and I love the sound of the hifi in there, but the head unit is driving me mad.

It seems like every couple of minutes it re-tunes the raido for me. I know I could turn off the AF and the EON, but thats not the point really. Sometimes it can't re-lock onto a station and I'm left with the Golden Sounds of Silence.

I have my old head unit, a single Din Clarion DXZ748RMP, all channels have pre-outs which (I think) is going to help me when it comes to wiring it in. I want to do as little to this car as possible, so I want to keep in the existing

A couple of questions though,

1. the pre-outs are RCA connections, will it be easy to put the output into the seperate Amp?

2. Am I going to need to buy a connector for the ISO plug? Hope not.. as I'd be using the RCA connections rather than the speaker cable.

3. Is there a speed timing pulse? I would like the speed-dependant volume control to work so this would be nice.

It should be fairly striaght forward to get the DIN adapter... so thats not a worry to me.

Look forward you your replies!!

Cheers,

Sven
