Egr Valve And Mass Air Flow Sensor

have just taken off and cleaned the egr valve and mass sensor the sensor was very easy located air inlet pipe next to air box sprayed the fine metal sensor with crc air sensor cleaner spray the little sensor was dirty with fine bits of dirt attached next took off the egr valve and found massive build up of carbon in the valve its self and the manifold port under the valve was so full of carbon the hole which when cleaned is about35-40mm wide was narrowed down to about 5-6mm with the build up of carbon the tube leading from egr valve back into engine was quite clean put all back together and result car is much more responsive end eager below 3 tho revs and mpg up as well!!! pic 1 is port under egr valve, 2 is egr valve 3 is carbon that came out of valve itself! 4 is valve cleaned out

used wynns carb cleaner to get my little blighter clean didnt do the mass sensor though might be worth a look
