Possible location at the moment for the DVD player would be top right of the Glove box area.. Simular to the location of Pauls (FARGO) with mounting brackets supplied for everything, even the NAV unit. So all you need to do is lign up and screw into existing screw fixings on the car.

Location here : Note not this DVD player .

The wire harness will be the most difficult part to develop Bazza. As this harness will be designed with all the correct connectors so it'll just plug and play...

Trying to make it easy peezy for anyone to install... :)

Remember the 2 Test people.... :hehe: :winky:

I have been asked today why this is offered in a system form only..

The answer is this.

Most NAVIGATION systems only output RGB, The motorised monitor I have chosen has an RGB input and 2 more Composite video inputs (normal Yellow RCA type) and one extra Composite video input with exciter wire for reverse camera.

I have chosen to use a VDO Dayton NAVIGATOR as

A: It makes the Package more reasonably Priced

B: VDO Dayton offer CD rom and DVD rom Based systems at reasonable Prices.

C: Able to get technical support from VDO Dayton to be able to SYNC their RGB signal into this monitor.

Looks great mate, the one thing I regret about my Lex is that I didn't get the Navigator, so this upgrade is tempting, the ability to play VCD and DVD is awesome though, I'm very tempted but guess this is going to be way over the 2k mark - how much would it cost for fitting as I'm crap at stuff like this :(

aido...

Thanks for your reply.

The cost is yet to be finalised due to the fact that various bits have not been made nor proto-typed for pricing as yet.

As for the "FITTING" Concerns.. All you need to know is how various panels come apart on the IS200/300 and follow simple colour install diarams, just pluging in the wiring harness supplied in the kit, Drilling a small hole in a switch blank for the AUX input switch, and fixing the various components down... NO Drilling required. No Soldering, No Cable testing or finding.

Steve,

what can i say GREAT........i also would like to buy one, the idea of having a DVD player/screen all hidden sound realy good. Off couse the cost matters - but i can

say a lot of Lex owers will jump for this.

You answered the question of fitting and the know how required, what about if you

only have a Lexus with out Nav, would that matter?

And i think for me Once a price and parts are made/located will it be avalible to

all Lexus owners in the Lexus Owner club?? no matter if they are Gold members or not.... ( I Hope So. )

anyway i look forward in all the commants regarding this great Idea.....
