  1. Hi Greg, As I said in my email, you are better off replacing this aftermarket unit. To convert it would cost more than a simple replacement :) sorry
  2. Good to talk to you Jimmy - sounds like you have a great car!! The Sutton co. used my ideas/products
  3. If you have the ability to design/build custom interfaces then there are options open ;)
  4. Shhhhhhhhh Bazza, I was going to do a shot of you - but the heavens opened before I got there
  5. And a few from me Not sure about these guys :D Hi, Nice Selection of pictures :) Chips..
  6. You just use a external switch or trigger from the external video source i.e. a DVD player. I do supply the instructions. As for the wiring colours, I have them if needed. You do also have the option of a second video input for say - a reversing camera etc. Wellcome to your worst nightmare. I also have a RX with the touch screen, trying for more than two years to find the meaning of the connectors. My idea was to ad a 3rd party video input to the screen, with no success at all. Even in Lexus does not have all the info about the screen. All manuals reach the "Change the screen" sentence when the problem involves the screen... Anyway, this is the info I have. The screen has 4 connectors, one for the Sat-Nav CPU, another for radio-AA controls, and another for consumption computer. There is another on that should be free if your car does not have the RES. It is white with six pins. They should be ground, sync, red, green and blue. But which one is each one...no idea. Also, no idea about how to make the screen to change from nav or trip information to video input... Some time ago Vais technology used to have the video interface, and iti s apity that they do not offer them anymore, because the Ipod one really works well. In case you need wirign from audio, I have the documents. Ask me. Good luck and in case you suceed, please email me...
  7. Things do not always match up as they should with the UK and Jap versions. This is true with the RX300 - the UK equipment in part, will not fit the Jap Harrier. B)--> QUOTE(T7RY B @ Jun 10 2006, 01:47 PM) ← Luke Member page
  8. I have loads of pictures ;) Drop me PM B)--> QUOTE(T7RY B @ Jun 17 2006, 03:12 PM) ← No I have'nt yet but maybe soon. Luke did send me pics of a Harrier install+conversion using original equipment screen etc. Looked really good. Trouble is I have deleted the pics but I am sure he will oblige. Let me know how you get on please. Terry
  9. Paul, did you get my PM? No Gaz, but I have seen LS430 with TV fitted. Theres 2 ways then depending on what equipment the LS430 has fitted. If it has an analogue system, you can simply put an composite video input over/into this and need nothing - other than finding the right wire, which was a nightmare in my Aristo. Option 2 is you need an RGB/Sync convertor to work with the feed to the screen from the standard navigation system. This box is a fix, albeit not the cheapest: http://www.nav.tv/products.php?prodcat=17&catname=Lexus And there is the audio - not going to be easy! Gaz.
  10. Is it possible to mute the voice guidance audio when navigating to a destination, whilst still getting key press bleeps and still having a voice guidance level set at say midway? To explain the situation, the audio level is set at midway, and audio is heard, however when navigating, no guidance audio is heard. Unfortunately I do not have access to the vehicle to try things for myself.
  11. There are a number of options for the SC430 Screen from DVD/MP3 player to Digital TV, or even just an MP3 player/Ipod audio in facility
