  1. Hello there Katrina. The inevitable has happened, something we have been discussing since just yesterday. Assuming that the garage that carried out the removal and emulation told you that it will pass the MOT, your first port of call is to see what they have to say I guess. If they made no mention of it or it does not state it on their website or anywhere within their promotional literature you will probably be wasting your time contacting them. Utlise the next half hour or so on checking their site and any and all documentation that they gave you when you had the work done by them, that is what I would be doing right now..... I would be very interested to hear what other owners who have had theirs removed get on with this too. Did the examiner state the reasons for failing it on DPF removed or tampered with, how did he give that ruling? I am inclined to think that he probably noticed it first and then when he did the emissions test it must have been off the charts compared to cars with DPF's still present as they register hardly anything when the analyser is connected. Let us know what happens tomorrow, I really want to hear what the removal team have to say about it as most of them advertise their services as: DOES NOT AFFECT MOT OR EMISSIONS!

  2. So few IS's still have the original wipers fitted tho^ If you have the OEM wipers then yeah go to lexus and get then to put new blades on for a few quid. Otherwise I recommend Bosch twin aero blades. Got them on mine at the moment... Brilliant :)

  3. 160,000 on mine with only part history. I did take a chance but followed my instinct as I fell in love with car straight away. Serviced it myself, changed belts, discs . Only had to replace fuel pump and it's flew through 2 MOTS. These truly are a great car.

  4. I've got the original press stuff for the LS400 that was sent to the US dealers in the early 1990s. I will take some pictures and get a post up sometime this week as you are all interested in this historical stuff.

  6. An update on mine: The system is now showing all the faults it has since the beginning and none of the software updates have made any difference. I know individually they seem like minor things but you just don't know what the system is going to be like on a day to day basis and it drives me mad when it plays up. I have been keeping in contact with customer relations and we have arranged for the technical team to come and have a look at my car at the end of next week for a couple of days. I'll let you all know how I get on.

  7. Spot the obvious mistake competition. These workmen are installing cast-iron bollards to stop nurses from parking on the pavement outside the Royal Hospital in Belfast. They are cleaning up at the end of the day.

  9. If they come off the same as the GS, then a credit card pushed under the leading edge should pop them out.
