  2. The funny thing is now I see the colour it makes it seem even more dramatic. You should send it to Lexus, they may make use of it which would be great, and profitable. :)

  3. Haha, so they are. I missed the little bit of green grass and the blue GB on the plate. Funny thing is I am not colour blind, in fact I score high on that. My only excuse is, it is almost B/W. :)

  4. Yeah I had thought this as head rests tend to be a pretty universal fitment. The hard part is actually finding some! I'll keep a look out on ebay but don't hold much hope

  5. I'd try and clean as much as possible without the engine running first. Spray the carb cleaning on a rag and then wipe around the throttle body and butterfly (push it open). You can then try spraying into the body with the engine running at a fast speed to clean inside. If there was a lot of dirt then the ECU may need to adjust the idle speed which can take some time. Once the engine is up to speed you need to come to a complete stop and take it out of gear and let it idle for 20 seconds, drive off and repeat. It will try and make a tiny adjustment each time so it takes a while to finally get to the correct idle speed.

  6. Hmm if you can get hold off some LS F-Sport ones, I bet they slide right into the IS seats in all honesty! Im sure some leather guy will know how to get it on for you

  7. thanks for that.odd how both my dealers demo's have the same issue and that's come from the centre manager himself and by test drive. also here is a quote from the u.s.a version of this forum who have the RC350 a v6 "but i honestly don't feel the noise anymore. When i took it for service a couple weeks ago, i told the technician and he told me that they have had alot of complains with this same issue from other customers. He said one of his coworkers has the RCF and he has the same issue but there is nothing they can really do about it." and another one saying he was going to complain about his as he had the same issue.

  8. Yes, a very nice photo that, in fact both are, but somehow the B/W one captures the mood.

  9. Well, thanks to all for the replies, Ended up going for a Rav4, only because we came across 58 plate car at a good price, that was in absolute A1 condition, just 1 very minor mark on the door, and you could tell the previous dealer loved it, all paper work in plastic sleeves, filed in order. hopefully it will be a good one. My wife wants an RX now though, but agreed to wait a couple of years, and agreed the RX was a bit too nice for a dog van! Cheers, Darren.

  11. Steve, whether it was working or not is also irrelevant as the Law assumes that a fault occuring within 6 months of purchase was there at the time.Citizens Advice Bureau is free. Phone the Nottingham CAB and discuss matters with them. You should not pay for anything and you must not have anyone attempt to repair matters as the Dealer will then claim that what you have done has caused the problem. Good Luck and keep us all aware of how you get on. Regards John

  12. My mistake about the XF, I thought it was a bit of a strange comparison. The CVT box maybe fine for most driving conditions, but when you want some spirited driving, it is not that responsive. The GS 450h is much better.

  13. Lexus really need to update the in-car tech of their whole range. This is what comes STANDARD on a £13K Corsa. 7” colour touchscreen Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto (You can be sure its easier to use than the Lexus system) Bluetooth, USB, and aux in Hands free phoning For £500 you can get their AUTO park function - That will automatically reverse park with no driver input. For £1300 you get the 'Safety pack' - which you can add to any spec - not jus the top unlike in the IS300H Traffic sign assist recognises and displays speed limits and other traffic signs. Lane departure warning audibly warns you when leaving your lane without indicating. Following distance indication keeps you informed of the avoidance time to the vehicle in front. Forward collision alert senses when a frontal crash is imminent and warns you with a sound, a signal in the display and warning on the windscreen. High beam assist detects preceding and oncoming traffic, and automatically switches between high and low beam of the Bi-Xenon headlights. Side blind spot alert senses vehicles in the blind-spot zone. If you indicate to change lanes it flashes a warning in the right or left mirror. So a £15K Corsa will have significant amount more tech and better infotaiment that even a top spec near £40K IS300H. Come on Lexus, sort it out.
