  1. Have a look at this link. I had one on my old IS220 and it worked a treat. Full steering wheel control etc and easy to fit...plug and play once you have removed the head unit. http://www.connects2.co.uk/Product/ProductItem/ICONNECT-FM-LEXUS

  2. I had my GS in Lexus Bristol last week for a cam belt change and a general check over, this is the first time it's been into them since buying it, as always with a new (old) car I was slightly nervous as to what they might find. Pleased to report it's got a clean bill of health and I can rest easy knowing that and it now has a new cam belt. The belt change cost me £295 which for a main dealer, I thought was very good indeed. As always, fantastic service from Lexus Bristol. My next planned job is to get the wheels refurbished and change the tyres.

  6. Main dealer IS200t Sport -65 plate 1900 miles . Also a decent part ex from someone who knew what they were talking about as well, made the deal very palatable . Happy days and worth the drive up there in the end. I guess I'll need to start looking at service packs etc.

  7. Just an update on this one.... They had a look at this, all sorted under warranty. They could not identify the fault, but replaced some parts and so far it is working perfectly.... on constantly (my wife has it on even in this heat, helps with her back). They lent us the new style model ... little bit more space and slightly newer tech, but they seem to have gone for a BMW style dashboard, but with lots of creaking plastic.... just our opinion, but we think ours is much better build quality.. Top marks to Tunbridge Wells team ... best Lexus dealer we have used so far for both sales and service.

  8. Was a good find, the guy who sold it to you bought a TVR...... bet he's had a bit more than a starter motor in 3 years

  9. I always was curious what drives people's to spend so much time on bulbs or other such details. I can understand detailing and keeping car in proper technical condition - what I'm doing by myself. But bulb colour seriously it's a car to drive and enjoy not a Christmas tree :) of course if you are doing it professionally for some competition and are planing to win some prize then yes but I doubt it is the case here.

  10. Well it's been an eventful weekend so far. So far 11 laps completed in ISF within 2 days. I can report the following.... Conti 6's - Great tyres.... BUT.... once they get too hot they slip and slide away more than a Paul Simon tribute band. If you are tracking your ISF with these tyres then recommend driver aids on until tyres cool down if they are getting too hot. This occurred after 3 straight laps. 1st 2 laps car was massively in shape. 3rd lap, my backside was going like a rabbits nose. EBC Yellow Stuff Pads.... Not a single complaint. After being run in, no squeals and these things have been a treat on the track. Oil.... Oil Temp went 1 bar from top of temp gauge on a couple of runs. Soon cooled down to 3 bars after coming off track but possibly something to be aware of if coming over here while it's hot (28), high, and a long old track. A chap in our group who (believe it or not) is an experienced race driver managed to have a major car failure in his Fiesta ST which resulted in a near miss which is now quite famous around the Ring. God knows what the 458 driver saw/thought but both drivers did well to get out of situation. We also discovered the 3 litre glass of BitBurger. Thankfully track isn't open again until 5pm Monday evening so time to sober up.

  12. Hi All Note what Rayaans says regarding the fact that every source must be individually tuned. I now realize that was the cause of all my problems. I tuned in the USB port thinking that would do every input (wrongly). Then could not understand why everything else didnt sound as good. I have now individually tuned evry input and all is now good.
