  2. So i new my wheels were in bad condition and negotiated into the sale price. I was planning to get the wheels professionally refurbished but two places i tried did not have a loaner set of wheels that would fit. I decided to try refurbishing the spare wheel myself as a start This also had some Kerb rash and corrision on the dish of the wheel. The plan is to use a Dremel with a sanding bit to smooth out the leading edge and then sand by hand the full face of the wheel with 500/1000/1200 grit. then apply 2 coats of grey undercoat, sanding between coats, and them 2 coats of colour and 1 clear coat laquer The inner dish will just get one coat of each layer. Today i cleaned the wheel the best i could would some wheel cleaner i had there which wasnt great so the back of the spokes still need some attention before painting Here is the wheel after a clean, you can see some nice kerbing scuffs: Lip after a few minutes of the Dremel: I didnt have the correct grade of sand paper so, ill finish that off tomorrow and some more cleaning to get everything as smooth as possible for undercoat layers

  7. Can always guarantee a good divided opinion on this forum, although more often than not divided heavily towards the donโ€™t mod/personalise it route! ๐Ÿ™„ Personally I think the grey one is what an F-RS version would/should look like if Lexus ever decided to make one (a la Jag XFR-S etc). Slightly more aggressive than standard. Now whatโ€™s this I hear about a 3.5 V6 Bi-Turbo IS F-Sport being a potential next gen model? Now that would have scope for big power.

  8. David i don't know if this might help at all When i bought my Mk3 from ACLex in 2011 ( he's still on here somewhere I believe ) he had changed my car to DHP stuff and I bought it from him re-converted back to original spec. If you contact him I guess he might be able to give you some useful info on this subject Malc

  9. A pain to do if you leave the headlights in place because you can't see anything! I got my phone down and took photos so I didn't have to rely just on feel. Don't forget to allow them to discharge for a few mins or else you'll get a sticky up hairdo!

  10. the laws of supply and demand im afraid. no demand means low price.... such a shame, seems the GS was never understood, a very underrated car in my opinion.
