  8. Isn't this the one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Lexus-04-13-07-14-Trunk-Liner-Boot-Mat-PZ434C1300PJ-/251801806660?hash=item3aa08ea744 I got a non OEM one for my GS from these people: https://www.bootsliners.co.uk/lexus-is-2013-onwards-boot-liner.html much cheaper and actually better with the non-slip centre section. Looks like there are two versions, one for hybrid and one standard - not sure how Lexus have just one official one - must be compromised for the IS200t.

  10. Probably a great car to drive but just looks like a regular 4 series to the untrained eye on the last 2 photos!

  12. The ISF is a much safer car for carrying taxi customers compared to the RCF .. Here's me on the way to the 24hr McDonalds in Slough, caught out by a tight corner.. ....

  13. I've used Redex Fuel System Cleaner a few times. Tesco tend to have it on sale now and again for £2 a bottle and that's when I'll buy it. Supposedly it "SAVES FUEL" but I can't say I've noticed anything. No adverse effects though, so I'm prepared to waste £2 once in a while.

  14. Sometimes I wonder if I am the only one running a 100% stock F. I know this can't be true, but I thought I'd just check the stats via a poll. For those that have modified their cars, feel free to list what you've done.

  15. As was kindly arranged by the owners club, I took the advantage of having a 24 hour test drive. I chose to try the NX as this could be my next step from the RX. This was arranged with Lexus Sidcup, who didn't seem aware of the offer, but were good enough to honour it anyway. The car was a blue NX300h F sport 18 plate with 10k on the clock priced at £37,500 Having come out of my RX I was expecting the NX to feel a bit cramped and under powered. How wrong was I? Very nice inside, smaller, but still very nice, with plenty of power and pleasantly smooth. The plus points: Active cruise control. My first experience of this and I think it is fantastic. Fuel consumption, 40 mpg over 175 miles of varied driving Styling Lane keep assist Illuminated door handles, looks very cool when unlocking car at night! Lock via powered boot door - can shut the boot and lock the car with the press of one button Sat nav instructions repeated on dash Sequential indicators The Negative points: Because this was an F Sport, did not like the driver or passenger front seats, too hard Suspension too firm - again probably due to being an F Sport The silly switch to turn on sound of exhaust through the speakers, this seemed too "boy racer" for a Lexus The silver trim around the information screen constantly reflected on the wind screen - a big distraction Information centre control via the touchpad - far too sensitive (even on the lowest setting) to use whilst driving Automatic High Beam was good, but very difficult to set, not intuitive or logical. Lack of internal storage space - in comparison to the RX at least In summary, I would definitely consider getting an NX to replace the RX at some point, but it would have to be a Premier to maintain the luxury of the RX, and I would like to see the touchpad replaced on future models as in my opinion it was not at all user friendly. Definitely worth considering if you want to downsize but not good enough to coax me out of my RX at the moment.

  16. ...with a 2018 CT 200h F Sport 🙂 Got a deal on a pre-registered example with additions of comfort pack, protection pack and leather seats. The colour is quite a head turner and makes a change to seeing all the grey German cars I passed on the way home! I did consider jumping a few other manufacturers and also considered moving up the IS but I don't really need something bigger and the CT is just such a comfortable car for me. There will probability be a well cared for 2 forum owners (myself and @PWOOD) 2014 white Advance appearing on the forecourt soon, perhaps to be picked up by someone on here (or a new member).

  17. Wow what a couple of extra inputs. Firstly Colin what a load of tosh you stated " the CVT allows the engine to rev up essentially without load". Utter crap and from someone I've respected comments from. How the hell can any type of transmission allow an engine to rev up without a load? OK Rayaans I know where you're coming from kind of. Maybe the electronic's in the 4RX are different. In my previous is300h's I had the rev counter on always and it responded directly to my boot pressure. The rev counter did Not however do what it wanted to. The OBD reader I have also does NOT do what it wants to. What I've seen is true engine revs and been pleasantly suprised at what revs I've been at at certain conditions. Even more so than in the is300h's probably coz of the V6. Crikey I'm really suprised at these replies. To anyone else who is interested in my thread please ignore the above 2 posts.

  18. Mine needs a clean. Once that’s done I’ll take some snaps. Have a couple of trips planned. First this - quite fancy finding out what the quarter mile time is: http://www.japshowfinale.co.uk/index.php And then this: https://ticketing.goodwood.com/PagesPublic/UserControlled/UserDefined.aspx?page=Breakfast-Club&soalready=67tDv/djufiCPiHNLo0qG3PBByQg/eKzpsEWTbpt1lw= I’ve applied and received an exhibitors pass. So we’ll be parked on the circuit...

  23. Currently on the ferry heading back. Car is as good or better than I expected. Unfortunately whilst queuing for the ferry the fella in front wanted to get into the lane that was moving quicker.. reversed back into me. As it’s dark I couldn’t see the full damage but the grill is completely broken.

  26. That's an interesting site, for some time I have been trying to get definitive information as to if my car is the only LS460 AWD. Looking it up it seems to stack up, the last 460's came in in 09 and it is only showing 1 throughout the report.

  31. Not really. I like Bruce Springsteen and I can't stand Bob Dylan. Some people are the opposite. Some like both. Some like neither. I never said it sounded better than an F. I love noise of both.

  33. Very pretty car Lee. Love that colour. Also like white and YMB! BMW's taste of colours seems vastly better than Lexus. Comparing the M4 to the RC-F, I can see that the RC-F is definitely stirs more emotions - good and bad. The M4 is pretty from all angles, but the RC-F out does it from some.

  35. I bought mine from Lexus Chester, 5 years ago and nothing has gone wrong. In my view you must try to take out the Lexus Extended Warranty. Speak to Tom Skelton soonest and find out if you can. Hope all goes well with your new car.

  37. Another possibility is Lexus Reading, once your car is >10 years old the reduced cost Lexus 'Essential Service' is avaialble. I've had my last two services (1 x minor, 1 x intermediate) there, they're really polite and helpful. I used to use an indy local to my work but they changed ownership and it's a very different place now😟 Andrew

  39. @Clive-D It's important to bear in mind that ECU error codes are not direct indicators of an actual specific fault, they are simply the result of a particular error condition occurring which could have many possible causes, sometimes hundreds or even thousands of potential causes. Many people fall into the trap of seeing an "O2 sensor code" (or whatever) and just assume that it's a nice logical simple system and they can simply replace the sensor to correct the issue. There's some good advice in this thread re cleaning the MAF etc, but if those avenues don't work out don't start throwing parts at it without getting a definitive diagnosis from a garage that knows what they're doing because you'll run out of money before you run out of guesses :)

  40. That would be the case on a traditional engined vehicle, but the 400h doesn't have an alternator - the hybrid batteries and inverter provides 12v once the ignition is on ('Ready' mode).

  45. I was at Lexus Cheltenham today and my feelings are well known on here about them a very professional approach from all yes the site is a a little tight and parking can be an issue but every other aspect is very good. I was dropping off a set of isF wheels for a fellow member to be refurbed and Karl the sales manager was kind enough to bring this outside even though it had just been prepped over the last day or two, I think they look great only 10 coming to the UK and Cheltenham chosen to get one. Found a handy manager to take the wheels..... thanx Sam as always 🤗 I agree with others a separate ‘F’ dealership hasn’t got legs sorry @tomRCFcarbon great idea but the market is to small IMO.... And for @Martin F information I did lift her skirt to check for a spare and........... er no 😂 Big Rat

  46. Warranty 1,000,000% worth it. Sunroof was always an optional extra on most cars I think where the Active Cruise was standard on the 06-08 Se-L Great cars though - more than 2 years and 40,000 miles on my 2006 and love it.

  47. @kellogsj Best car I've owned! This silver one is my 2nd consecutive 250 F-Sport and my 3rd Lexus in a row. I had a 2010 one with the older-style headlights and bumper before this but that was written-off. It had more equipment (memory seats, Mark Levinson etc), but I prefer how the newer cars look, and drive tbh. This one feels like the steering/handling is a bit sharper. Not changed my plugs yet (currently only on 44K miles), but I'll probably get them changed next year as I'll have covered closer to 50K when the next service is due. Might actually try doing them myself. Will probably do something with the brakes too as I'm still on the original discs & pads.

  48. Mines an 11 plate too. I've just had service done and plugs done. It's running brilliant. It was beforehand. What do you make of the car overall. I've only ever driven 2 cars. Both 250's. I've had it for 18 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
