  1. Pic taken on our recent holiday to the Lot region in France. She does look good in that setting, way nicer than beside my 3 bed red brick semi in Essex 😃

  2. Congratulations on your new motor, the colour combination sounds great. Pics when you get it please. I wouldn't be too hasty with the Nexens. I had them fitted to a Saab Aero and they performed well. Try them before you change them.

  3. @Big RatNice find Paul - the bias still annoys annoys me as much as it did when I watched it the first time🙄😉 @Vlady M3 is quicker If a seconds difference a lap on a track matters to you - on the road would make little noticeable difference IMHO. When I originally test drove a 2009 ISF I was surprised how good the ride was in comparison with my Audi S4 at the time given everything I had read/seen. Made the S4’s ride seem far more unrefined & I had not seen a single review of the Audi even mention its ride quality. You just need to test drive one & make your own mind up - I bet you will be surprised. As far as gearbox & the rest of Clarkson’s criticisms, most of the German manufacturers followed suit meaning the ISF was ahead of its time as others have already said.. Interestingly I was struck watching the video at how fresh the ISF looked - I thought the M3 by comparison was showing its age IMHO (although still a very attractive car).

  4. Just wanted to say it is useful when ads for cars are posted as it makes it easier to find info on it as well the historical price of the car.

  5. Rumours are that TGR are developing a super car so LFA could be best next thing to test tyres on from a power/weight ratio maybe.

  6. So who would have this as a toy over the new one out later, we’ll im old and misty eyed about these things so this would be my choice..... Similar price to used Rcf’s https://www.pistonheads.com/regulars/ph-spottedykywt/toyota-supra-spotted/38943 Big Rat

  7. The crucial factor you are overlooking is that you don't need to pay anything to use this forum; you have chosen to, which gives you access to other resources. So, since it is optional, the admins are actually going to the trouble of hosting this forum for the benefit of Lexus owners without compensation. As for the F only meetups, in my opinion you can do what you want, but it is odd that you would specifically exclude people since most meets try and encourage as much participation as possible, but each to their own...

  11. your car looks great ............... 18 years ago I had a 1995 saloon Saab, loved the car and thought I'd have it forever ............ then along came my first Ls400 .. and now on my third ............. the only problem I had with the Saab was at 60k miles was the waterpump developed a hairline crack ............... simple replacement I think and about £60 then. Lovely car ............. Malc

  12. The settings you loose are auto window, and sun roof closure:- reset by opening half way then closing and holding the close button for 5 seconds. The seat, external mirror, and steering wheel auto position for each key fob:- reset by adjusting wheel, and seat positions, and operating the set button, and setting number (1,2,3,) . The engine ECU will be reset, and will learn your driving style without any intervention from you. There is an OBD (on board diagnostics) socket that could be used for keeping the systems alive above the brake pedal, and next to this is the reset button for the TPMS system. If you can stand on your head you can get a good view of these. John.

  16. Hi Adam, I liked your comparison with the 2.8 Ghia. There are a few GS250 kicking around on the official site and last time I looked there is one in Stockport (ask for Asa Hallsworth) , Glasgow and Twickenham but I could be wrong now. My now 6 Year old GS250 which I bought 8 months ago continues to exceeds all my expectations. It is absolutely amazing on the motorways and wafts through traffic. Driven carefully its not that bad on fuel either. It hasn't skipped a beat and its remains the only car I have owned that puts a smile on my face when driving it. When you find one of your choice, please treat yourself.

  17. The real gem of this era was the Lexus Soarer, whereas the Nissan, GTO and the ZX were the real sports cars the Lexus stood out as a bit left field a bit like the RCF today. I remember seeing my first Soarer it took ages to track down what it actually was and when I found out I was hooked, they did have a reputation of instrument binnacle failure but the one I liked was the model with the V8 engine and active suspension I have it's model designation in the back of my brain somewhere. Very rare cars as a grey import but they were there never did buy one although I should have.

  18. Well, it also had the original engine, starter motor, transmission, etc. It's what you get when you buy an older car. You only get new standards if you buy new. Buy second hand and you have to expect to need to spend money on replacement parts, quite possibly on a regular basis. Even if the car did come from a Lexus dealer. Lexus approved just means that it passed a fairly detailed examination on the day - it's almost impossible to tell if electrical items are going to fail in some months' time.

  19. @Flytvr Now that’s just the kind of measured constructive response from someone who has many in my opion admirable qualities and that is meant sincerely. I simply want to spread my wings ‘ noting your latest avatar’ with others around the forum and the country and not just one group and be left to do that, so as regards something on my chest that’s it. It wasn’t for me about the Welsh blast group it was about you none of the others I realised there was an increasing personality clash between you and me and have distanced myself on that basis. I hope it now stays this way, this Is a great forum with plenty of opportunity for people to express themselves in reasoned debate and angle of interests and banter of course but not some of the things that have happened of late. Nuff said Big Rat

  21. Well I like it. I would have had one back in the day but not now at £35k as that amount of dosh needs spending on an F. However I can vouch for the 2JZ engine in the front of my IS300 Sportcross for being and sounding great. Its been mildly improved in a few areas Bought as a temporary runabout its lots of fun taking the garden rubbish to the tip (when I go the long way round) and at next to no money its a terrific second / runabout car.

  22. Yes it was, they ran out of time so they sent me off in this. It was handy for bringing the stock exhaust back though 😉. I think this is300 had served time in Afghanistan, judging buy its paintwork, still running though!

  25. The one I was given drove great.... in limp mode 😉, all the way two and from Kent 🤣. The guys kept it as a slave car for the engine, it's the same or similar as in the Supra's they work on.

  26. @emjay82 & @Comedian, it drives great! It’s a 3 litre engine, no warning lights, nothing wrong with it and bare in mind, it’s a 16 year old car 😃

  29. My father used to own an MK2 Supra back in the day. It was black and i thought the fact that it had the retractable headlights made it the coolest car at the time.

  30. I feel like I must be the eldest 😳....I still love the 80’s supra, both the original 2.8 then the 3.0i and the 3.0t.......but I always loved the MK-1 MR2.......gutted it’s gone, but house build and family have to come first.......well for now 😂🤣
