  2. Did you use a genuine Lexus oil filter? In the olden days the good ones had a non return valve built in to prevent oil leaving the filter when the engine was switched off thus avoiding low oil pressure on start up.

  8. Have seen other owners reporting this from time to time and they have, most of the time, found it is the tyres rubbing on the felt arches - easy to see if you check the arches for rubbing marks.

  9. Nice-looking item (but maybe a bit big for Espresso). Did it come with an Owner's Manual? Tips for optimal Lips Placement? Left-hand Grip Adaptability? Care & Maintenance? Best washed with (premium) Car Shampoo? My (belated) Compliments of the Season to you. R.

  11. No but it's easy to turn the controls round. The problem is it's not automatic, and they are only going to make manual versions. John.

  15. Put your details into here https://www.lexus-mapupdates.eu/Shop/Index and then buy the correct disc off eBay. Or alternatively buy direct from Lexus for £££.

  16. Hi There, Firstly, I would personally recommend the IS300h, my parents drive this model and they get 50mpg+ mostly (dips to 48/49 with heated seats on etc) My mother drives from Glasgow to Edinburgh (& back everyday) and this is about 100 miles a day, car is 2014 Premier model and it has never had a single issue. It has a service every 10,000 miles and only gets the brake pads or wheel alignment for. We got our cars from Lexus Glasgow and they are fantastic through and through! Service from them is A+ and Lydia there is most helpful. If you are buying non pre approved then make sure to get the hybrid battery checked. With regards to warranty my family has never taken out a warranty on any of the past 3 Lexus cars they have bought so I would say you should be safe, but go for dealer for piece of mind if you want? I have some video's on several Lexus cars if you want a more detailed look at them? I hope I helped? Feel free to ask any questions? Thomas x PS Merry Christmas

  18. Alexander As I have serious heart problems and a bad back I chickened out and have booked it into Lex-Tek Autos at Sheffield for after the new year. I could just about stand up after my initial investigations which influenced my decision and after reading your case I am reassured for me that its best. Not beyond my skills but not the physicality.

  19. I bought some Hako ones for my 2012 GS. took them off after the first trip out the wind noise was just too high. Also they snapped a little on the ends that go into the window channel but still fit. if anyone wants them free I am in North London, haven't taken the sticky tape off so will fit again

  23. The trouble with the reversing camera is that whenever you need it most the lens is covered with mud, and water. I am considering a modification for my GS that should be easier on the NX of fitting a screen washer jet very close to the camera. This could be "T'd" off the OEM rear screen washer, and give the ability of blasting away any deposits covering the camera lens. John.
