Lexus has released a teaser of its forthcoming LM model, a luxury MPV which will debut at the Shanghai Motor Show on 16th April 2019
The silhouette clearly shows a distinct similarity with the Toyota Alphard MPV (shown below) although it will more than likely carry across the Lexus signature lighting and grille designs.
Lexus describes the LM with the following quote: Lexus redefines the luxury mobile space which also suggests that the LM will be of Lexus quality with the Alphard interior space options of either 7 or 8 seats, with an almost infinite variety of configurations.
If Lexus adopt the Alphard engine range then there will be a choice of 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine or a 2.5 litre Hybrid which are already available across the current range of Lexus vehicles.
"WORK. RELAX. PLAY - WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH YOUR EXCEPTIONALLY CRAFTED SPACE?"
The LM will more than likely only be available in the Chinese and other Asian markets and then over time be released to other markets. Likely to be built in the Toyota Anabe production facility, where export models are already produced, it seems to suggest that it will eventually be rolled out worldwide.
